In this paper, we propose a new computer system that extends human visual imagination. Although many creativity support systems that are based on KJ method have been proposed, few systems are for visual imagination. Moreover, most of the conventional systems for supporting visual creativity show concrete shapes or fragments of pictures. So, a creativity support system that shows abstract concepts in order not to disturb the free way of thinking of the user is hoped. The proposed system displays many keywords as abstract concepts, which are distributed on the window. The user selects and gathers favorite words like KJ method manner, and he/she tries to acquire better arrangements. Then, the user easily hits upon attractive imagination. The proposed system employs ‘EDR electronic dictionary’ and generates new stimulus concepts based on analogy. A series of computer experiments shows effectiveness of the proposed system.
