Bellsystem24, Inc. tried out the field test with Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd. to develop a new telephone communication service with elderly people. This paper reports on the analysis of data relating to the quality of life (QOL) on elderly people who participated in the test. The test subjects were 46 elderly people. We tried to keep and promote their QOL by calling them regularly from the call center, not only did we collect their daily vital data (blood pressure, pulse rate, and temperature), but also we had some talk. To verify the effect of this test, we took a questionnaire consisted of mental and physical aspects before and after the test, and compared the before-test data with the after-test one. As a result, women showed the significant improvement on their mental aspect, especially with the women living alone.
