Abstract
A virtual space creating system using fuzzy inference with variable weight is proposed in this paper. Users input desired emotion and the degree to the system, and the system can output the 3-D virtual space reflecting their emotions. The system creates a wide variety of 3-D virtual spaces based on the parameters that are determined by genetic algorithms (GA) and fuzzy inference. The fuzzy rules change sequentially to reflect users individual preference according to the users' impression on the outputted 3-D virtual space. We introduce variable weight in fuzzy inference. In this method, the distance between the 3-D virtual spaces and users' emotions is calculated flexibly. It has been confirmed by our experiments that users' emotions can be reflected effectively. In addition, it has been also confirmed that the proposed system can create spaces with high quality and diversity.
