A Case of Igg4-Related Dacryoadenitis and Sialadenitis that Proved Difficult to Diagnose

Abstract

IgG4-related disease is a systemic and chronic inflammatory disorder with IgG4 hyperemia and remarkably infiltration of IgG4-positive plasmacytes in affected organs. Mikulicz disease and chronic sclerosing submandibulitis （Küttner tumor） have been known in the head and neck region. Recently, a diagnostic criteria of IgG4-related disease according to its salivary gland lesion was determined.
We encountered an extremely rare case of IgG4-related dacryoadenitis and sialadenitis and discussed about the diagnostic criteria and clinical findings with review of the literature.
