The purpose of this study was to develop a scale to measure the functions of junior high school coordination committee composed of a principal, teachers, and a school counselor. Forty-one survey questions were formulated by interviewing 5 teachers and 44 special needs educators/coordinators. Teachers were interviewed via a semi-structured format and the special needs coordinators through a free describing process. 432 junior high school teachers completed the survey. Factor analysis was then used to extract four main subscales: (a.) promoting team support for children, (b.) consultation and co-consultation, (c.) promoting leadership/management, and (d.) coordination within the school through all grade levels. The subscales have test-retest reliability and criterion related validity.
