ABSTRACT
Attempts have been made to obtain copper tungstate (CuWO4) powders by application of corrosion synthesis. The well-stirred solution with WO42− ions which has been obtained by the dissolution of W in a hydrogen peroxide solution poured into the solution with Cu2+ ions by the dissolution of Cu in a nitric acid solution. The mixed solution was then dried and fired at temperature higher than 773 K. The XRD analysis of the fired powder obtained showed CuWO4 particles with mean diameter of 0.7 μm. The synthesis of the CuWO4 by dissolution and mixture of W and Cu is considered from electrochemical point of view.
