The influence of the addition of K2O-WO3 glasses, the amount of which ranged from 0 to 20wt%, on the microstructure and superconducting properties in YBa2Cu3O7-x ceramics has been investigated. It has been found that the resistivity in the normal conducting state of the materials increased and the superconducting transition temperature decreased with the amount of the glass added. This may be interpreted in terms of the microstructural change of the materials which can be characterized by the segregation of the Cu element resulting from the addition of the glass materials.
