Abstract
A case of left retroperitoneal pulmonary sequestration associated with a gastric duplication is reported. To the authors' knowledge there have been six previous reports in the English literature. Such a case is difficult to be diagnosed preoperatively. A 1-year-old girl was reffered to us for further evaluation and treatment of a left upper quadrant abdominal mass, which was demonstrated in the suprarenal region on CT scan and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). Tumor marker was negative. Operation was perfomed because of the uncertain diagnosis and possibility of malignancy. Herein we report our experience with retroperotoneal pulmonary sequestration associated with gastric duplication and discuss the imaging of abberant artery and pulmonary parenchyma.
