Abstract
A 47-year-old male was admitted for further examination of bloody sputum. He had upper respiratory tract infections from adolescene. Bronchoscopic finding showed slight bleeding in the right upper lobe bronchus. Thereafter, as massive hemoptysis was observed, bronchial arteriography was performed coil embolization was applied to the arterial branch distributing into S^2. Pulmonary arteriography revealed a defect of perfusion in the S^2a region, in which no cystic lesion or definite sequestrated lungs were found on computed tomography. Aortography demonstrated abnormal blood perfusion from the right bronchial artery and the right fourth intercostal artery in this region. From those findings, Pryce type I pulmonary sequestration was diagnosed with abnormal arteried distribution in the right upper lobe of the lung.
