A new species belonging to the longicollis group of the genus Paramimistena is described from Xieng Khouang Province of Central Laos under the name of P. ikedai sp. nov. Paramimistena rudis HOLZSCHUH and P. subglabra subglabra GRESSITT et RONDON are recorded from new localities with brief redescription.
