The immature stages of Spinarge affinis HARA and SHINOHARA, 2006, are described for the first time. Two closely related species of the three-leaved azaleas, Rhododendron wadanum and R. reticulatum, belonging to the section Brachycalyx of the subgenus Tsutsusi are newly recorded as host plants of S. affinis. Two arborescent Rosaceae, Photinia villosa var. villosa and Malus toringo, both belonging to the subtribe Pyrinae, are newly recorded as host plants of S. fulvicornis (MOCSARY, 1909). The adult and larval characters, host plants and life history traits of the two Spinarge species are discussed. Spinarge affinis and S. fulvicornis have much in common in adult and larval morphology, but the larvae of S. affinis are solitary leaf-feeders on Rhododendron(Ericaceae) whereas those of S. fulvicornis are gregarious leaf-feeders on Aria, Sorbus, Photinia and Malus (Rosaceae).
