Two new staphylinid species of the subgenus Minyphilydrodes of the genus Philydrodes are described under the names P. (M.) yujii and P. (M.) kumosoensis. They were obtained from streamside in deciduous broadleaved forest on Mt. Kumoso-yama of Tokushima Prefecture in eastern Shikoku, Japan.
