Abstract
Congenital factor X deficiency is one of the rare inherited hemorrhagic disorders.
In this report we described the surgical treatment of a patient with congenital factor X deficiency using Prothrombin complex concentrates (Konyne®).
S. U., a 23-year-old male, was admitted to our hospital, for surgical operation on the constracture of his left knee joint. During the surgery, the level of factor X activity (X:C) was kept at over 100%. The minimum hemostatic level of X:C was maintained over 50% for 7 days, and for the following 7 days over 25% with Konyne. Surgery was performed successfully and there was no abnormal bleeding during and after surgery.
