Patent Investigation Using Information Technology Including Machine Learning

Abstract

Recently, machine learning technologies including Deep Learning has developed rapidly. Therefore, machine learning technologies is promoting word efficiency in various fields. The patent field is no exception. Products and services using machine learning technologies are already beginning to be provided. In this paper, we introduce an example of patent investigations using machine learning technologies for “analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of our company and other companies” and “application trend analysis related to specific development and technologies”. In particular, we introduce 1) Search patents to be surveyed from a large amount of patents, and 2) Automatically generate a patent map from the patents.
