The design of library web service as a “search system”

Abstract

Library web service needs improving (1) “discoverability” at web scale discovery service as a “search system” and (2) “findability” at library website behaving as part of a “search system”. For that, Library web service also requires to be designed in its data and UI. According to the case study of Bukkyo University, the ideal “search system” needs to be consist of web scale discovery and library website, and it also should be the web service optimized for “apparent” institution scale contents.
