Panoramic view of the environment and energy field

Abstract

The fields of environment and energy are most important fields that concern the developments of our human society. The problems facing the world and humanity, such as climate change, are becoming serious in our society. The United Nations has set of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to solve these problems. Many efforts have been done for solving these problems in country and regional levels. In this report, the overviews of Japanese R&D are described for the 26 regions in the fields of environment and energy. Finally, the word “ZACSS” will be proposed to express the future trend of research.
