Fueled by the progress of open science and institutional research, researcher profile services operated by research institutes are expanding their objectives from exhibiting the researchers’ achievements to serving as a platform for analyzing their activities. In this article, we will discuss a future direction for researcher profile services and requirements for research institutes in developing and operating the services.
