Researchmap is a database of Japanese researchers operated by the Japan Science and Technology Agency, and is used by many researchers and research institutions. The system has been in operation for more than 10 years as a leading national database and research performance management service, and its importance has been increasing, especially in recent years, when it is used for application and screening of competitive funds due to policy reasons. This presentation will provide an overview of researchmap, its history, current use, and future prospects, and introduce the advantages of registering and using researchmap, as well as workflows to make it easier and more comfortable to use.
