In recent years, the development of educational materials to promote research data management (RDM) education has been progressing both in Japan and abroad. As institutions build their own RDM infrastructures and support faculty, researchers, and students in acquiring RDM skills, existing educational resources, developed and offered educational materials are expected to serve as valuable assets through their reuse. This paper reviews current trends in the development of educational materials for RDM education, examines how these materials are being provided as platforms or Open Educational Resources (OER), describes the mechanisms for sharing and utilizing materials developed at the National Institute of Informatics, and discusses the personalized learning functionalities currently under development.
