Is social media an effective medium? This paper focuses on social media, but also presents my personal views on other communication methods and building relationships with stakeholders through public relations activities, while introducing examples from our university. Media activities are broken down based on triple media theory, and the phases of stakeholder interest are considered from the perspective of lead management. The paper also discusses the differences in the roles of student websites and official websites. Broadening the perspective, the paper also considers the inclusive connection between public relations activities and social contributions, and discusses the potential for creating a new society through public relations activities.
