Abstract
In the present experiment, I studied about the changes of serum Na & K concentration during and after administration of Dexamethasone.
No significant changes wsre found between aged pulmonary tuberculous patients and healthy aged or healthy adults. But in the second group, advanced cases were apt to show slight tendency of decreasing in serum Na concentraion.
After administration of Dexamethasone, serum Na concentration slightly increased and serum K concentration showed tendency of decreasing, but their changes were not statistically significant.
Na & K excretion in urine showed close relation to their serum concentration. No side effects were found during and after the administration of Dexamethasone.
