The Influences of Monochromatic Light upon the Movemeat of Euglena

Abstract

Observation is made on the laspe of time in examination in an attempt to observe whether the change of intensity of visible rays is capable of exciting a Euglena.
Method: A Kotsuka's modified (Ishikawa) on Colpidium Corpoda (Stein) is employed. Conclusion: (1)Single stimulus of visible green ray 4500Å-7000Å can excite the Euglena.
(2)Single stimulus of visible red ray 6500Å-8000Å can not excite the Euglena.
