Abstract
Due to the needs for a Romanized Japanese Introductory Textbook for foreign graduate students of Natural Science, a trial version has been developed. It has the following 5 main points: 1) The romanized script and English translation are laid out on two facing pages. 2) The vocabulary is listed repeatedly to reduce the burden on the user. 3) The focus is on daily conversation of a humorous nature, used in campus life. 4) It consists of familiar characters and has an interesting story. 5) It consists 7 units entitled "First Step to Science" to introduce Natural Science technical terms from the initial stage of Japanese language learning.
