Abstract
Teacher intervention can have a variety of effects on the learner. The purpose of this study is to analyze how teacher intervention affects the collaboration activities of Japanese learners in a class about oral presentation skills. It was found that there are several types of teacher intervention and each learner is impacted differently by these different types of teacher intervention. Based on the analysis and the results, we will consider how teachers should intervene in collaboration activities of Japanese learners in order to facilitate collaborative learning.
