The author supervised Japanese language teaching training for undergraduate students in the Education department. The students conducted face-to-face Japanese language lessons for technical intern trainees. However, there were areas where the students' "self-education skills" improved and areas where they did not. These results suggest that it is necessary to incorporate activities to help students think of solutions and other methods by themselves in the middle of the training period through face-to-face meetings, as well as to incorporate more motivational activities.
