Abstract

A dozen of Qi-Gong masters were examined by a thermographic method. From the results, we found two types in Qi-Gong masters were existed; one type was themalincrease in their faces and hands, and the rest was a thermal shrink. Also in both cases, thermal synchronized phenomena were observed between Qi-sender and Qi-receiver. From the thermographic data, the temperature responses were analized. After starting Qi, thermal increase came out in acupuncture spots at first and after a while, the areas of the spots spreaded. Therfore, it was realized that the acupuncture spots were the most effective for transmitting Qi to the other persons using far-infrared communication. At a thermal increasing case, an area surround with same temperature was increasing slowly while the area was decreasing rapidly at the thermal decreasing case. Also in the case of heating-up, a rapid increment in their heart rate was observed after starting Qi. Therfore, we concluded that Qi-Gong masters could control their autonomic nerves, especially sympathetic nerves by themselves.
