Abstract
The agriculture of our country, Japan, is under a difficult situation in which even the continuity of agricultural communities is endangered due to the decrease of workforce caused by the depopulation and aging as well as the expansion of deserted arable land. In December 2013, Headquarters on Creating Dynamism through Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery Industries and Local Communities established a “plan to create vitality for the industry and regional communities,” including the “Vital Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery” created by developments of human resources with management skills and structural improvements and “Beautiful and Dynamic Communities” to rejuvenate the rural areas with beautiful sceneries and forest and marine resources. Hiroshima recognized community-based farming corporations as one of the leaders with management skills and actively supports on establishing them for their establishments and managements. This essay deals a study of business issues in growth of community-based farming corporations mainly based on the analysis of “Census Research of community-based corporations in Hiroshima in 2013.”
