Abstract

In recent years, health and productivity management, which considers the health management of employees from a managerial perspective and strategically implements it, has been attracting attention. Health and productivity management is considered effective not only in improving the health of a company’s employees, but also in solving management issues. However, awareness of health and productivity management in SMEs is low, and few studies have focused on the effects of health and productivity management in SMEs. In this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey of SMEs and analyzed the results using Quantification Method III. A model diagram for problem solving and health and productivity management efforts was developed, and effective health and productivity management in SMEs was discussed. The results suggest the importance of sharing the aims of health and productivity management among manager, health promotion staff, and employees.
