Abstract
I explained the scientific approach of music therapy(MT) as the medicine, mainly from the point of view of Evidence Based Medicine(EBM). The evidence means objective findings with universal validity. The present medicine is built based on the principle of EBM. For setting hypothesis, task, and the assessment, it is indispensable to correctly understand the reported literatures. The hypothesis is significant only when it is built on one step upper from the evidence. The paradigm should be decided as the validity of the hypothesis could be revealed by setting control group and/or comparing the difference between intervention and control period. For the scientific proof of MT and the establishment of music therapist as a medical career, it is necessary to put the evidence upon another, though that takes much time and effort.
