The Japanese Academy of Orthopedic Manipulative Physical Therapy holds internationalcertification seminars based on IFOMPT (International Federation of Orthopedic Manipulative PhysicalTherapists) educational standards. Since 1988, we have been held international seminars based onKaltenborn-Evjenth International (K-EI). Currently, the content is not limited to K-EI and is enhanced toeducation that conforms to IFOMPT standards. The seminars are roughly divided into basic courses andadvanced courses. The basic course is set for 49 days, and the advanced course is for 34 days. Techniquesthat can be acquired in the courses include joint mobilization, joint manipulation, soft tissue mobilization,nerve mobilization and motor control training. In order to treat effectively, clinical reasoning, which repeatshypothesis setting and verification under accurate examination, is required as well as the ability to criticallyanalyze evidence and clinically apply it. In these courses, the clinical reasoning process and how to applycurrent evidence can be systematically learned.
