Analysis and Evaluation on the Effectiveness and the Structural Change of the Demand Curve by the Variable Rate Pricing Policy for Plastic Shopping Bags

Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and the structural change of the demand curve by the variable rate pricing policy for plastic shopping bags. Here, the effectiveness implies the reduction effect that consumers get plastic shopping bags at shopping stores such as super markets. The reduction effect the variable rate pricing policy is carried out in the whole area is larger than the area carried out in the few store. That is, the structural change of the demand curve by the variable rate pricing policy is founded.
