From time to time, the weight of the float of the Dines' pressure-tube anemometer must be regulated owing to temperature change and other causes. I have calculated a regulation curve (Fig. 2) for the type of anemometer generally used in Japan. If we use this curve the regulation will be done more easily. The ordinate denotes the pressure in mm-water, which is necessary to ascend the float just 10 m/s on the recording chart, and by the length represented by the abscissa the float must be raised or sunk, by decreasing or increasing the weight of the float.
