Has been required, but the most effective countermeasure to the noise of electrical machinery has not yet been devised. The main factor causing the noise and vibration in the composed transformer is magnetostriction. The magnetostriction is very sensitive to stress and heat.
This paper deals with a formulation for analysis of the magnetostriction on external load by the finite element method. Analysis is made of the magnetostriction induced in a one dimensional model by stress and magnetic flux density.
