Abstract
The effect of Li addition to Bi2Sr2CaCu2Ox thick and thin films on their superconducting properties was investigated. Bi2Sr2CaCu2Ox superconducting films were successfully obtained at low temperatures below 840°C by addition of Li2CO3, which acted as a flux. The superconducting transition temperature (Tc) of films increases with increases in Li content, accompanied with an increase of the length of c-axis. The thick and thin films show Tc zero of 88 K and 81 K, respectively, which are higher than that of undoped Bi2Sr2CaCu2Ox.
