This paper presents a new method of testing servowriting pattern, which is necessary and easy to test the recording quality of servo pattern. It can on-line detect all servo dibits timing, total, track width, radial alignment and servo surface noise, thus judge the recording quality of disk. Using this method for a universal servowriter developed recently, the accuracy of testing is nearly 100%.
