抄録

In this paper, conductive losses in a sandwichstructured planar inductor are discussed. The FDM (finite difference method) analysis of the current distributions in a rectangular conductor sandwiched with magnetic material revealed that the current crowds near the edge of the conductor. It is also shown that filling gaps with magnetic material is effective to reduce ac resistances, especially when the width of the conductor is much larger than the skin depth.
