Abstract
The magnetic behavior of single-domain particles with uniaxial magnetic anisotropy is analyzed on the basis of the concept of the discrete Markov process, as well as by Monte Carlo simulation. The coercive force is deduced by using the idea of recurrence time. Good agreements between our proposed method (analysis by the discrete Markov process) and Monte Carlo simulation are obtained, indicating the validity of our analysis. In addition, it is found that the Master equation can be deduced by assuming the behavior of the magnetic moment to be continuous.
