The thermochemical solar/fossil energy mixing using metal oxides is proposed as the medium-term technology. This energy mix allows for smoothed introduction of solar energy and shift to a solar energy era. It also serves as a technological and economical bridge from current fossil energy systems to renewable energy systems for preventing global warming by anthropogenic CO2 emissions.
