Improvement of CODING TABLE AND DC CONTROL FOR D8-15 Modulation

Abstract

This paper describes the improvements of the DC control characteristics and the simplification of the encoder for the new 8 to 15 rate RLL(2,10) constraint modulation, D8-15¹⁾. The results show that the improvements can effectively contribute to realize a high density optical recording.
