Abstract
This paper reports the results of investigations into the post-earthquake fire that occurred
near Asaichi-dori, Kawai-cho, Wajima City, in the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake. The survey
revealed that 249 buildings were totally burned down and 7 partially burned down, with an
estimated fire spread area of about 52,000 m². In particular, we conducted a field survey focusing
on the buildings in this fire by creating a database of burned and unburned buildings, and
collected information from public agencies. And, we further extracted the situations for the fire
to stop burning. As a result, various conditions to prevent the spread of fire were obtained in six
different patterns of burnt-out areas.
