Abstract
The purpose of this study was to visualize the characteristics of infant skin care products with the aim of leading to appropriate product selection. To this end, 57 infant skin care products were selected from an e-commerce website and evaluated for their characteristics. Characteristics were evaluated based on three items from all published ingredients: moisturizing ingredients, rehydrating ingredients, and hypoallergenic properties, plus washing ingredients for detergents, and shading ingredients for sunscreen products, for a total of four items. For these characteristics, three items were evaluated: cost, safety, and handling. Radar charts were created to visualize the relative values calculated from these. The results showed that there were differences in characteristics even among products with the same purpose.
