We fabricated prototype full arch bite trays for taking impressions. It is necessary to investigate the safety of this technique before recommending its clinical application. We studied its effect on the hemodynamics of healthy individuals. The subjects were 10 healthy dentulous adults with a mean age of 28±2 years. We examined the conventional method using a full arch metal tray, and the full mouth bite impression method using prototype full arch bite trays. We measured the systolic blood pressure (SYS), diastolic blood pressure (DIA), heart rate (HR), percutaneous arterial blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), and R-R interval on electrocardiography (R-R) while taking impressions with the conventional and bite impression methods. The means and standard deviation were calculated for each value, and the measured values were compared with normal values published by WHO for heathy adults. The test values did not deviate from the normal ranges with either method. We concluded that taking impressions with the prototype complete arch bite trays has no influence on hemodynamics.
