Comparative Analysis of Domestic Secondary Literature Services in Library and Information Sciences

Abstract

The number of cited journals, the number of citations, timelag, availability of annual indexes were examined on each secondary literature service. The titles of the abstract journals are listed. The result showed the tendency of each service and the key journals cited in each abstract journal. The number of journals in library and information sciences as well as the journals related to the fields which were collected in National Diet Library was examined to grasp the quantitative tendency of the literature, and the number of articles in each category of the fields was indicated using the figures of those in Tosyokan Gakkai Nenpo and others. Problems found in the secondary sources were mentioned.
