Technical Information Management and Processing, and Its Service at Sony K.K. Technical Information Center

Abstract

The history of Sony products, and management and processing of the inhouse information related to them mainly conducted at the Technical Information Center are outlined. The activities of the Center are documentation of standards, monographs, serials, newspapers and microfilms, registration system of inhouse and external technical information, publication of the Center, and information retrieval of inhouse and external databases. The information flow and its service are indicated. The facilities and equipments at the Center, and prospect on the activities are mentioned.
