The Characteristics and Use of Automatically Extracted Title Keywords of JICST Files

Abstract

The outline of JAKAS (JApanese Keyword Automated Selection) which automatically extracts keywords from titles expressed in Japanese text and assigns them Furigana, the function of the dictionary for word selection, and the characteristics of selected keywords are described. The strategy for effective use of the keywords in JOIS-II and the matters to be attended to use them are discussed showing some examples.
