Abstract

As the practical example of information management in FUJITSU the authors introduce nation-wide online technical information service, FIND, which was started in Sept. 1978. FIND has employed interactive information retrieval system (FAIRS-I) which is general purpose package by FUJITSU as the core of the system, and added several auxiliary programs for improved service. Some characteristics as an information retrieval system, outline of FIND, and actual use and its effect are described.
