Abstract

This paper is the lecture presented at the tenth anniversary of the foundation of JICST Hokkaido Branch Office. The author unvestigates various aspects of information and describes what highly informationalized society should be and prospects on postinformationalized society from the viewpoints of a person involved in newspapers as information medium. Informationalized society at eighties and ninties is analyzed by taking example of "false and truth of information" where breaking of Berlin Wall and Gulf War are dealt with. Also concerning changing Soviet society brought by glasnost he discusses impact of information upon society based on his own experiences, and points out fragility inherent in highly informationalized society, what such society should be, and what advanced environment society an idea of highly informationalized society is.
