Art Archives

Abstract

Art archives, these words, mean not only a place in which art data are collected, but in some cases may be pointed out an art-related publication itself. With art archives classified into six categories, the history of archives is discussed separately for general archives and art archives. Also concerning present-day art archives, its utilization, data and method, arrangement and access, preservation, staff training, publication, furtherance, leading art archives, related archives, and future outlook are described.
