Library of Congress' digital library initiatives, achievements and plan for the future are stated. The new age of digital library at The Library of Congress had begun with American Memory pilot program in 1990-1994 and reached to realize the National Digital Library (NDL) Program which included the American Memory in as the cornerstone program. NDL's online programs on the Web are introduced as well as the contents and the evaluation of NDL program. As to future prospect, the program's planners envision a future library"without walls" existing together with the library"with walls."
