Sunmedia is one of the oldest Document Delivery Company established in our country. It has developed alongside R&D companies during high economic growth era in Japan, and Information Retrieval Service using Online Databases it offered to its clients propelled further the distribution of scholarly articles. It needed the cooperation not only with National Diet Library and JICST, but with overseas institutions, such as British Library. On the other hand, it had critical missions with copyright issues to a degree that it has introduced its clients copyright cleared articles for the first time, and it even became acquainted with Copyright Centers overseas. These past activities were passed on to its new business advancement as a “Content Solution Company”.
